February 27, 2015. The construction works of waste water treatment plants of Dilijan and Jermuk towns were completed.
In Dilijan and Jermuk there were launched new waste water treatment plants highly equipped with German made mechanical treatment equipment in the frames of “Armenian Small Municipalities Water Project” with the support of European Union, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank and Government of Armenia.
About 12 kilometers down from Dilijan town, the 200 l/s capacity mechanical waste water treatment plant, that was constructed at the river bank of Agstev river, allows the connection of Dilijan town, Haghartsin and Teghut communities to the treatment system without a need of using pumping station.
The new constructed waste water treatment plant located about 3.5km down from Jermuk Town at the western part of Kechut reservoir allows the discharge of treated waste water of Jermuk town and new development areas as well into the existing waste water collector passing along the western part of Kechut reservoir, without using of pumping station.
