2019 RA Minister of Territorial Administration Suren Papikyan visits Arpa-Sran water pipeline on September 24
RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan visited “Arpa-Syan” water pipeline today to get acquainted with the construction works. The Minister entered the water main from 10:00 am through the 2nd tunnel, from the Yeghegnis construction base, and plans to cross the 30 km long tunnel road. The tour will last 6-7 hours.
The construction works on the 18th kilometer started in 2017 on the initiative and means of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The tunnel floor has been repaired and the floors have been repaired. Steps are being taken to ensure communication. Narrow lines are being constructed for the use of electric towers, a lighting system is being installed. The construction of this stage was completed on September 20.
The operation of the Arpa-Sian tunnel starts every year from April 1 and continues until September 1. During the other months of the year, repairs are carried out there. Due to the construction works, the water capacity of the tunnel this year was 19 mW / s. The highest recorded record so far was 14 m / s.
