1997 Spandaryan HPP. Repair-rehabilitation Works of the Power Tunnel

Spandaryan HPP is a part of HPPs cascades on Vorotan River. The construction of the tunnel, rainwater structures, near-station structures and surge shaft commenced in 1984 and was completed in 1986.
The pressure tunnel of 3.5m diameter and of 5.5 km length is built up of reinforced concrete encasement. The work was performed at the exit portal and an intermediate of the adjacent roadway in the mountains.
