2010-2011 Rehabilitation of Armavir Main Canal
The Client: “Water Resources Development and Institutional Improvements PIU” SI of the State Committee of Water System of the Ministry of Territorial Administration of RA.
The rehabilitation of different stretches of 3658m of canal was implemented out of the irrigation period.
The following scope of work was implemented:
| 1. Rehabilitation and renovation of the adjacent road; | |
| 2. Earthworks | 24388 m3 |
| 3. Canal cleaning of the sediments and detritus, partial demolition of concrete offsets | 39804 m3 |
| 4. Clean the canal bottom and walls of deteriorated concrete; | |
| 5. Place peddle gravel and sand mix mattresses; | 2766.69 m3 |
| 6. Concreting of canal structures | 5127 m3 |
| 7. Construction of joints | 15518 m |
A range of winter time concreting measures, such as anti-frosting agents, concrete cover and heating, as well as well as preliminary warming of water for concrete mixes, were undertaken.
